Notes
|
Cichla temensis is a huge Peacock Bass Cichlid species that can grow up to 39" in length. Any fish that grows to that size, combined with the power and aggressive nature of this beast, is best suited to public aquariums only.
For those that do decide to keep the Speckled Peacock Bass, an enormous aquarium will obviously be required as the fish matures. This fish however, is very hardy and will adapt well to most aquarium conditions when young. A neutral or slightly acidic pH, plenty of open swimming spaces, and tankmates of equal size are recommended.
