Until the mid-1990's, C. bocourti was a fish that was never seen in the hobby. Their beauty and character has seen their popularity rise in recent years.
Males are typically more colorful and aggressive than females, and also have longer anal and dorsal fins.
Provided with enough tank space, this species is not overly aggressive.
